How will Sunscreen Mist insure that the booth will fit into our property's decor and design?
Think of the exterior of the booth as a blank canvas. Our Design Team can custom design exterior features that match your property’s style, or choose from our easy to assemble exterior packages such as:
• Solid wood or composite style surround with custom design elements and color matching.
• Canvas Cabana style surround
• 3M graphic wrap with your Company logo or messages
Do customers use the booth?
Guests are extremely receptive to the booth and will often be repeat customers.
What kind of guest will use the booth?
The booth is designed to meet the needs of a wide variety of users:
• Elderly users with mobility problems
• Young children who want to get covered quickly and think the booth is fun
• Business travelers who did not bring sunscreen and do not have a companion to apply lotion
• Adults, aged 21-70, concerned about the sun’s harmful effects and looking for convenience
• Teens and adults who are interested in Rapid Reaction Tan Enhancer coverage
How will Sunscreen Mist impact on-site retail sales?
Sales of Mist applications are a high impact way of increasing overall sunscreen sales while improving margins. The Sunscreen Mist Booth is most suitable for use around pools and beaches and other areas where guests are attired in swimwear. Guest participating in other outdoor activities and excursions will be best served by traditional sunscreen application methods.
What services does Sunscreen Mist provide?
We are a hands-on company with many years of hospitality operational experience at luxury establishments. We will work with your property to assure ease of set-up, training of employees, technical support and guest satisfaction.
How much does a Sunscreen Mist Booth cost?
We have a number of different pricing plans to best suit your resort. Some buyers will qualify for free booth placements while others may prefer to purchase the booth.
Are there financing options available?
Yes. If a free placement is not available, Sunscreen Mist’s Finance Partner will find an affordable lease or financing option (including seasonal payment cycles)
How much do the Allevea formulas cost and how are they ordered?
The sales or placement agreement with Sunscreen Mist will determine the actual solution cost. Margins on Sunscreen Mist applications can reach 300% of traditional sunscreen sales. In addition, Sunscreen Mist can remotely monitor usage and send your property alerts that more solutions may be needed.
What kind of usage can I expect from the booth?
This varies based on several factors. Our research shows that between 5-30% of pool guests will use the Sunscreen Mist Booth; often multiple times.
What financial return can I expect from the booth?
Depending on the price your property decides to charge guests, the profit from a single mist application can exceed the profit of an entire can or tube of traditional sunscreen
What kind of maintenance does it require?
- The low maintenance booths can be monitored wirelessly from any computer to determine needs.
- Order more Allevea Formulas based on wireless usage reports and physical checks -- each 5 Gallon container of formula is good for 300 uses.
- The booth should be wiped down each day
- The waste water reservoir should be emptied and rinse water should be filled every 100 rinses (if not plumbed)
- The workmanship and components of the booth are warranted for at least a year. The engineering of the booth is extremely elegant and all components are designed to be simple, “plug-and-play”. If a part should fail the part should be available for shipment within 48 hours
How will it be insured?
If your property’s umbrella policy will not cover the Sunscreen Mist Booth, we can make our products additionally insured. For placements, our policy can meet the coverage requirements of the largest hotel chains.
Can Guests pay using their hotel key card?
Not yet, but attractive bar-coded coupons can be charged to the Guest’s room and the sale completed within the property’s POS system. A combined cash, credit, and coupon acceptor is a standard feature. We can investigate integration with a property’s in-house payment systems on a case-by-case-basis.
How long does an application last?
The Mist application itself takes only 10 seconds. The protection time varies. As with other high quality, broad spectrum sunscreens, Allevea sunscreens should be reapplied at least every two hours. This time could be significantly shorter based on several factors:
- Your skin type: people with lighter skin or those prone to sunburn should reapply more often
- Your activities: swimming and vigorous exercise reduce the effective life of all sunscreens
- The time of year: the sun is more intense during the summer in the Northern Hemisphere
- The weather: Intense sunlight requires more frequent application, however you can be badly sunburned even on cloudy or overcast days
- Your geographic location: Sun exposure closer to tropical areas often increases your risk of sunburn, and extra care should be taken in these area
Do I need to wear eye protection when using the Sunscreen Mist Booth?
No. Allevea Spa Collection Mists are the gentlest, most soothing formulas available so even small children find it fun and easy to use the Sunscreen Mist booth. While we recommend closing your eyes during the application, Allevea products are formulated to cause the least amount of eye irritation. Unlike continuous spray sunscreens, Allevea sunscreens contain NO irritating alcohol.
Why do I need to rub in the Allevea products after an application?
After exiting the Sunscreen Mist booth we recommend rubbing the solution into your body. This will help the product penetrate your skin, and will help assure that our waterproof products have been applied to even hard to reach areas. The mild fragrance and light temporary sheen of Allevea Products lets you know that they have been applied.
Will Allevea products stain my clothes?
No. None of our products will affect your clothing or stain them in any way.
Will Allevea products make my hair greasy?
The fine mist will not affect your hair or styling products. They do nourish the skin and lightly condition and protect hair.
Will the tan enhancer make me tan instantly?
No. Allevea Tan Enhancer contains tyrosine, copper, and riboflavin which are the essential minerals and amino acids necessary to produce melanin in the skin allowing you to achieve a natural tropical tan.
What if the machine did not work or the application session was interrupted?
Contact one of the pool staff or front desk at your property to request assistance or a refund. Contact Sunscreen Mist (info@sunscreenmist or 888-8SunMist) for Credit Card refunds (please leave your name, type of card, last four digits of your card number, and time/date the booth was used).
Can more than one person use the Sunscreen Mist booth at a time?
No. The Sunscreen Mist Booth is designed for a single user. You put yourself at extreme risk of sunburn if the instructions are not followed properly.
How can parents best apply the solutions to small children?
Children old enough to close there eyes when instructed can use the Sunscreen Mist Booth. To assist small children, parents should:
- Lead child into booth and stand them in the floor markings, while standing behind your child
- Press the application button for your desired sunscreen
- Instruct the child to close their eyes (or provide eye protection) and hold the child’s arms slightly away from their body
- After the initial spray, turn the child around facing away from the nozzles.
- After the second spray, exit the booth and rub the solution in assuring that any hard to reach areas around bathing suit lines have been covered.
