MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Solar Shower Manufacturing a cutting edge manufacturer of sunless tanning equipment has created a revolutionary new technology for applying spray on tanning and SPF lotions. After 2 years of research and development they are now rolling out a fully automated self-contained spray booth that sprays full body applications of specially formulated lotions on the customer's body in only 6 seconds.

Engineered for beach side and pool side environments these all weather spray booths are available in 2 models, the Solar Sunblocker that sprays a water resistant 15 or 30 SPF Sunscreen and the Sun Treatment Center which offers the customer a choice of Tan Accelerating Spray, 15 SPF and 30 SPF Sunscreens and After Sun Cooling Aloe Vera Mist. All the high quality lotions used in the booths are specially formulated to be moisturizing, gentle on the skin, non-greasy and fabric safe.
"What excites many of the resorts and water parks that we have talked to is the fact that these units can be set up to take cash, debit/credit cards, or the magnetic strip cards used on cruise ships and some resorts. They also appreciate the fact that these units have a rinse down cycle after each session and are full-self service, so no attendant is required," explained Kent McGuire, President, Solar Shower MFG. Customers using the spray booths activate the service, step into the booth, press a button and in a matter of seconds they are sprayed with a fine mist of suntan lotion of their choice over their entire body. After they exit, an automatic wash cycle cleans the booth and pumps all excess out of a base pan into a waste reservoir [In newer models the rinse cycle now occurs before every use, so the guests can see it is clean –JL]
Solar Shower MFG reports that the low cost per session combined with the capacity to do 100?s of sessions per day offers the booth owner the potential of a large, totally new revenue stream. For booth owners that chose the debit/credit card option, which is wireless, they will have real-time Internet based sales reporting allowing the booths to be available to customers on demand. The transaction cost will automatically be deposited in the booth operator's business account.
